ReplyDeleteany chance you might be more specific about weight and brand of food? thanks. like the blog so far.
ReplyDeleteI did a lot of sale shopping for this Primal day! The tuna I bought was Chicken of the Sea and I got it on sale 3 cans for $1. Avocados were on sale $1 each. Remaining cents were for mayo, one green onion and a homemade pickle. Everyday Paleo's Better Chicken makes 4-5 servings. The most expensive ingredient was the Chicken Thighs, about $5 for a package. I found Target has the lowest price for Hunt's Tomato Paste and Thai Kitchen Coconut milk (68-cents and $1.79). However, I had coupons for the coupon milk and wound up paying $1.29 a can instead. Eggs I get from a local farmer and pay $4/dozen (totally worth it in my mind!) The Pickled Asparagus I made and only paid $2/pound for it (which make one quart jar of yumminess!). The Strawberries were also on sale, $1.50 for a one-pound containter. The Chai tea bags were a major score (using coupons and doublers) at 50-cents for a box of 20! As you can tell, I love to find me a bargin! Keep checking back for more primal costs, as I add days with grass-fed beef, organic produce, and pastured pork. I've noticed I have my super cheap days, and then of course, my not so cheap days, but in the end, it all balances out.
